An Interview with Cristina Salinas About Her Award-Winning Book “Managed Migrations” (University of Texas Press, 2018)
While the region has a long history of labor conflicts and mobilizations, what I call “water riots” was a new development that forced me to readjust my research plan and pay attention to this important development.
The thematic obsessions of Mexican Westerns are Mexican. In my book I develop this argument on a continuous basis, to fashion a kind of cultural history of Mexico as told through Mexican Westerns.
